Pokémon and Grand Hyatt Tokyo are teaming up once again to deliver a unique hospitality experience: the Pokémon Beach Resort collaboration, inspired by the sun-soaked Alola region.
Announced by Grand Hyatt Tokyo and The Pokémon Company, this upcoming event invites guests to immerse themselves in a beach-themed getaway with the beloved characters of the Pokémon franchise.
Set in the heart of downtown Tokyo, the collaboration promises Pokémon fans an unforgettable stay, fusing luxury accommodation with the world of Nintendo's iconic creatures.
Set to take place between June 20 and September 1, 2025, with bookings available from April 15th to August 28th, 2025, the Pokémon Beach Resort collaboration features two distinct accommodation options.
Both packages are designed for two guests and offer themed amenities, exclusive merchandise, and gourmet dining experiences inspired by Pokémon.
The centerpiece is the Pokémon Beach Resort Suite Stay, with just one Chairman Suite available each night.
This exclusive suite is transformed into a seaside retreat adorned with giant Lapras and Snorlax plushies, as well as unique Pokémon décor.
Guests will find amenities such as a French-style bathroom, a beach towel, bag, hat, and an oversized shirt adorned with Pikachu, Squirtle, and Rowlet.
A Pikachu and Piplup plushie will also welcome guests to their room.
The package includes both a specially curated dinner—featuring a Bulbasaur tropical gourmet burger, Squirtle ricotta cheese tart, Piplup blue soda, a tropical garden salad, and tropical tea—and an American breakfast with Pikachu fruit pancakes, all delivered to the suite.
Access to the Grand Club lounge is also provided.
The cost for the suite stay is ¥500,000 (approximately $3,500) per night, excluding tax and service charges.
The Pokémon Beach Resort Stay offers a broader opportunity, with five themed rooms available per night.
These guest rooms feature beach-inspired decorations and two twin beds, creating a vibrant and cozy atmosphere.
Included amenities are a mini Lapras plushie, and a set including a beach bag, hat, and oversized Pokémon-themed shirt.
Breakfast is served daily at The French Kitchen, with Pikachu fruit pancakes on the menu throughout the stay.
Prices for these stays range from ¥62,800 ($440) to ¥69,000 ($485) per night, also excluding tax and service fees.
Organizers have clarified that room decorations—including the giant plushies and wall art—are exclusive to the suite and not intended to be taken as souvenirs.
Only one set of amenities is provided per stay, regardless of the booking duration.
This isn’t the first time Pokémon and Grand Hyatt Tokyo have collaborated.
In 2023, the hotel hosted a Pokémon Sleep themed experience, transforming suites into whimsical camping getaways that delighted fans with sleeping Pokémon plushies and a memorable setup featuring a giant Snorlax.
Both current and new fans of Pokémon can look forward to a similarly immersive and detail-oriented event in 2025.
Bookings for the Pokémon Beach Resort Suite and Stay are open now through the Hyatt website.
As the Nintendo Switch era continues to see Pokémon reach new heights of popularity, these real-world collaborations further demonstrate the franchise’s cultural impact and commitment to delivering memorable experiences beyond the game screen.
