A new Vivillon-focused Mystery Gift is now available for players of Pokémon Legends: Z-A on Nintendo Switch, bringing a special Spewpa distribution and a tied global campaign that can unlock a Poke Ball Pattern Vivillon for all participants.
Background and context
Mystery Gift distributions have long been used across Pokémon titles to deliver event Pokémon and in-game items via the Nintendo Switch eShop and online services.
Vivillon itself debuted in Pokémon X and Y (October 2013) as the final evolution of Scatterbug and is notable for its multiple wing patterns tied to region and event conditions.
The current promotion for Pokémon Legends: Z-A continues that tradition by offering a Spewpa that can evolve into a variety of Vivillon patterns within the game.
What’s included in the distribution
Players can claim a Spewpa through the Mystery Gift menu in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
According to the event details, this Spewpa can evolve into one of sixteen Vivillon patterns that are not currently obtainable in Lumiose City — specifically all patterns except Meadow, Marine, Garden and Poke Ball.
The event documentation notes that Spewpa caught in Wild Zones are also eligible for the evolution-count campaign.
Global campaign and unlock conditions
The promotion includes a community challenge: if players worldwide evolve enough of these Spewpa into Vivillon, the campaign will unlock a Poke Ball Pattern Vivillon to be distributed to all eligible players at a later date.
The campaign requires a cumulative total of 660,000 points to trigger that distribution.
Linked rewards for Pokémon Champions
There is also a cross-title incentive for Pokémon Champions players: depositing a Vivillon obtained in Pokémon Legends: Z-A into Pokémon Champions will grant an in-game package that includes a Vivillon Trainer Icon, six Training Tickets, and 666 VP.
Timing and availability
The Vivillon Spewpa distribution for Pokémon Legends: Z-A runs through November 19, 2026.
Players should use the in-game Mystery Gift interface via Nintendo Switch to claim the Spewpa while the event is active.
