After years of anticipation and a storied niche legacy, the Shenmue franchise is making a notable comeback with the announcement of Shenmue III Enhanced for Nintendo Switch and other platforms.

Developer YS Net, under the publishing guidance of ININ Games, is set to deliver an updated version of Shenmue III, bringing the most recent chapter of Ryo Hazuki’s journey to new audiences and platforms, including Nintendo's hybrid console. Originally debuting in 2019 after immense fan anticipation and a successful Kickstarter campaign, Shenmue III was met with mixed critical reception.
