Pokémon TCG Pocket Mega Rising Expansion Announced for October 2025: Download Milestone, New Features, and Events

The Pokémon Company has delivered exciting news for fans of the Pokémon Trading Card Game on digital platforms.

Pokémon TCG Pocket, the mobile adaptation of the beloved franchise, is set to launch its highly anticipated Mega Rising expansion on October 29, 2025.

Available on iOS and Android, this digital card-battling experience has rapidly become a staple for collectors and competitors alike since its release last year, reaching an impressive 150 million downloads according to official figures. Mega Rising introduces three brand-new booster packs themed after Mega Gyarados, Mega Blaziken, and Mega Altaria.

Each pack features Mega Evolution EX cards, complete with exclusive animations to enhance gameplay.

A notable new addition is the ability to accessorize cards, demonstrated with Mega Blaziken on the official Pokémon TCG Pocket website.

These card accessories will be available for players starting October 31, 2025, adding another layer of customization for digital collectors. The release of Mega Rising coincides with Pokémon TCG Pocket's first anniversary, a milestone recognized through a series of in-app celebrations and events.

To commemorate the occasion, the game will receive an update introducing a highly requested share feature.

Special missions during this timeframe offer the chance to earn a commemorative emblem and additional in-game rewards.

Additional events include the PROMO Reissue Drop Event 2025, where players can battle solo to collect previously released A Series promo packs, and the PROMO Reissue Wonder Pick Event, giving collectors another opportunity to obtain sought-after cards and exchange event shop tickets for promo cards.
