The Pokémon Company has officially announced a remarkable milestone for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet on Nintendo Switch, following the conclusion of the final Shiny Treasures Of Ruin Tera Raid event.
According to the latest data released by the developer, over 1.8 million Shiny Chi-Yu were defeated as of September 12, 2025, nearly doubling the initial challenge target set for the global Pokémon community.
The Tera Raid Battles, a popular feature introduced in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, have offered players regular opportunities to team up and face powerful, rare Pokémon.
This final event in the Treasures Of Ruin challenge series centered on the elusive Shiny Chi-Yu.
Originally, Pokémon fans worldwide were tasked with collectively defeating one million Shiny Chi-Yu as part of the event’s goals.
In a statement, The Pokémon Company reported: "As of September 12, players have defeated more than 1.8 million Shiny Chi-Yu, significantly surpassing our target and demonstrating the enthusiasm of the global Pokémon Scarlet and Violet community." This overwhelming participation exemplifies the ongoing engagement and excitement surrounding special event raids on the Nintendo Switch platform.
As a direct result of reaching—and exceeding—the event’s requirements, The Pokémon Company has confirmed that all players will receive a Shiny Chi-Yu via the game's mystery gift feature.
The distribution is slated to begin on September 19, 2025, and will be available to all trainers who access the in-game mystery gift before the end of the promotional period.
This global mystery gift distribution marks a significant reward for dedicated players who participated in the eShop event, further enhancing the appeal of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s ongoing online activities.
Pokémon Scarlet & Violet have seen several successful online events since their release, integrating Tera Raid Battles as a cornerstone of their multiplayer experiences on Nintendo Switch.
These events not only influence gameplay but also help grow the vibrant online community.
The addition of the Shiny Chi-Yu reward through the mystery gift system is another milestone that reinforces The Pokémon Company's support for players and the value of interactive events.
With over 1.8 million Shiny Chi-Yu conquered and a limited-time distribution set for September 19, trainers are encouraged to claim their reward and continue exploring the ever-expanding adventures offered by Pokémon Scarlet & Violet on Nintendo Switch.
