Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, the latest mainline entries from Game Freak and Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch, are keeping their active fanbase engaged with regular Tera Raid Battle events.
These dynamic multiplayer battles deliver challenging encounters and valuable rewards for players, and the upcoming featured Pokémon is generating significant excitement within the community.
Baxcalibur Takes Center Stage in 7-Star Tera Raid Battles
The newest event will spotlight Baxcalibur, a powerhouse Dragon- and Ice-type Pokémon, entering the fray in ultra-difficult 7-Star Raids.
Sporting the Fighting Tera Type and the exclusive Mightiest Mark, this formidable opponent will be catchable only once per save file—emphasizing the event’s rarity and intensity.
As with previous 7-Star Raids, coordination and strategy are key, as trainers team up with up to three others in timed, high-stakes battles.
"Participating in these limited-time events gives trainers a chance to battle and catch Pokémon with rare Tera Types," an official statement from organizers highlighted.
"Players who download the latest Poke Portal News via their Nintendo Switch systems will be able to jump straight into the action."
How to Access Tera Raid Battle Events in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Engaging with Tera Raid Battle events is straightforward: ensure your Nintendo Switch is connected to the internet (a Nintendo Switch Online subscription is *not* required), and the system will automatically update your game data with the latest event via Poke Portal News.
Those wishing to manually update can open the X menu, select Poke Portal, navigate to Mystery Gift, and choose 'Check Poke Portal News.'
Event Schedule: Baxcalibur and More
The initial Baxcalibur Tera Raid Battle event is slated to run from July 11 to July 13, offering a limited window for trainers to challenge and capture this unique version.
A follow-up event will occur between July 18 and July 20, during which another powerful Pokémon, Blissey, will also make an appearance, giving players even more reasons to participate.
