Nintendo and Game Freak have officially unveiled the next 7-star Tera Raid Battle event for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, highlighting the formidable Garchomp as its centerpiece.
These highly anticipated events continue to energize the Nintendo Switch community, offering seasoned trainers a unique challenge and exclusive rewards.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, both developed by Game Freak and released globally for the Nintendo Switch on November 18, 2022, are the latest mainline entries in the iconic Pokémon series.
Among the many new features introduced, Tera Raid Battles have proven particularly popular, allowing players to collaborate with up to three others to take on exceptionally strong Pokémon within a time limit.
These special raid battles offer a rotation of featured Pokémon, occasionally including rare Tera Types.
The upcoming event puts the spotlight on Garchomp, the beloved Dragon- and Ground-type Pokémon.
This time, Garchomp will appear in raids as a Ground Tera Type, boasting the prestigious Mightiest Mark.
Notably, participants will be able to catch this Garchomp only once per save file, further enhancing its value as a collector’s item for dedicated trainers.
In an official statement, the company emphasized that players can easily join Tera Raid Battle events by ensuring their Nintendo Switch system is connected online.
The necessary Poke Portal News updates are downloaded automatically—with no paid Nintendo Switch Online subscription required.
For those preferring manual updates, simply navigate to the Poke Portal from the X menu, select Mystery Gift, then choose 'Check Poke Portal News.'
The event will operate in two distinct periods, giving players multiple opportunities to participate.
The first chance to encounter 7-star Garchomp will run from May 23 to May 25, 2024.
For those who miss out, a second event window is scheduled between May 30 and June 1, 2024.
These brief event dates encourage trainers to coordinate with friends or other online players to take on the challenge before it disappears.
Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet are available now exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
Fans eager to join the Garchomp Tera Raid Battle can find additional event details and instructions on the official Pokémon website.
Stay tuned for more updates as Game Freak and Nintendo continue to enhance the adventure with fresh post-launch content and dynamic event rotations.
