Pokémon Sword & Shield Soundtrack Added to Nintendo Music App for Nintendo Switch Online Members Nintendo has announced an exciting new addition to its Nintendo Music app: the complete soundtracks from Pokémon Sword & Shield are now available for streaming.

The move marks a significant update to the app's growing library of iconic video game soundtracks, delivering over four hours of immersive Galar region music to fans with an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription. Developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company, Pokémon Sword & Shield debuted worldwide on November 15, 2019, for the Nintendo Switch.

The titles ushered in the eighth generation of the globally successful Pokémon franchise, introducing players to the expansive Galar region.

The games have achieved critical and commercial success, surpassing 25 million copies sold as of early 2024, making them some of the best-selling games on the platform.

Starting this week, users can stream a comprehensive selection of music from Pokémon Sword & Shield through the Nintendo Music app.

This includes iconic tracks such as “Title Screen,” “Hop’s Theme,” “Let’s Have a Champion Time!,” “Battle! (Gym Leader),” and “Marnie’s Theme,” as well as music from the game’s major downloadable expansions, The Isle of Armor and The Crown Tundra.

All told, the newly added soundtrack clocks in at approximately four hours and thirty-eight minutes, covering key moments from across the main story, legendary Pokémon encounters, and endgame battle themes. In an official communication, Nintendo highlighted the breadth of this update, noting that the selection now features a wide range of beloved tracks straight from the Galar region.

Users can experience the musical journey from postwick’s calm beginnings to the epic Champion Cup showdowns and the mysteries of the Crown Tundra.

The addition underscores Nintendo's ongoing commitment to enhancing the value of the Nintendo Switch Online service. To access the Pokémon Sword & Shield OST, players will need an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription.

The Nintendo Music app is available for both Android and iOS devices at no extra cost for subscribers.

By logging in with their Nintendo Account credentials, fans can enjoy not only the newly added Pokémon tracks but also an expanding collection of music from other classic Nintendo titles. This update further enriches the diverse offerings available to Switch owners through Nintendo's digital platforms, continuing the celebration of Game Freak’s achievements and delivering a nostalgic audio experience for both longtime and new Pokémon fans.
