The Pokémon Company has announced a new high-difficulty raid event for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, delivering another exciting challenge for Nintendo Switch players worldwide.
As part of its ongoing support for the flagship RPG series, the latest event features a special 7-Star Tera Raid Battle starring Salamence, the fearsome Dragon- and Flying-type Pokémon, with a unique twist to its Tera Type.
Starting today and running until April 21, 2025, at 8:59 AM JST, Trainers can encounter a 7-Star Tera Raid featuring Salamence with the Flying Tera Type.
According to official information released by The Pokémon Company, this powerful Salamence can only be caught once per save file and comes equipped with the coveted Mightiest Mark.
This special designation highlights the Pokémon as an exceptional raid encounter, rewarding players who are able to defeat and capture it with a unique in-game badge.
After successfully catching Salamence, Trainers may continue to join this limited-time raid battle to earn a variety of valuable in-game rewards, including leveling items, Tera Shards, and other exclusive materials.
The event is accessible through the Tera Raid Battle system in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, available exclusively on Nintendo Switch and through local or online multiplayer collaboration.
This 7-Star Tera Raid event is part of The Pokémon Company's regular rollout of post-launch content that keeps the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet community engaged.
Previously, similar events featuring rare and powerful Pokémon have garnered high participation and positive feedback from players.
Since the games' release in November 2022, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet have seen robust sales, with millions of copies sold globally.
The addition of high-level Tera Raid Battles has been a significant feature, sustaining player interest and encouraging cooperative online play.
The Pokémon Company continues to utilize Nintendo Direct announcements, the eShop platform, and official social channels to update Trainers about ongoing and upcoming events.
