Square Enix confirmed during Sony’s State of Play that Final Fantasy VII Revelation — the closing chapter of the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy — will launch for PC and consoles on April 8, 2027.
The developer described Revelation as the final entry in the remake saga and said it will resolve lingering narrative threads left by Remake and Rebirth.
Additional downloadable content (DLC) was also confirmed as part of the ongoing post-launch strategy.
Collector's Edition and Japan bundle
Square Enix has detailed a lavish Collector's Edition available through its online store in the U.S. Priced at $349.99, the package includes a mini-soundtrack CD, a hardcover art book, a steelbook case, a Day 1 Edition Magic: The Gathering "Final Showdown" promo card, a story expansion pack that bundles two DLC expansions, in-game accessories and items, and a premium statue featuring Cloud, Sephiroth, and Zack.
The publisher lists the bundle as exclusive to the Square Enix Store for U.S. customers.
A separate premium bundle for the Japanese market includes all three remake-era Final Fantasy VII titles alongside the statue and supplemental materials.
That Japan edition is priced at ¥77,777 (about $490) and reportedly includes exclusive steelbooks, a soundtrack CD, and individual plaques representing the games.
Square Enix indicates that the Japan bundle does not ship to the U.S.
Nintendo Switch 2 physical release and storage requirements
On Nintendo's next handheld, the Nintendo Switch 2, Final Fantasy VII Revelation will be distributed on a Game-Key Card for a physical purchase option.
Square Enix has stated the title will require approximately 130 GB of storage to download, a key consideration for Switch 2 owners managing internal space or microSD storage.
The availability of a physical Game-Key Card is notable given that the game's director previously suggested a physical release was not guaranteed.
