The latest UK boxed charts compiled by market tracker GfK put Capcom's Resident Evil Requiem at number one this week, marking a notable sales uptick for the long-running survival-horror publisher.

The boxed rankings, which reflect physical retail sales in the UK, show Requiem overtaking Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced and Pokémon Pokopia to claim the top spot.

GfK's platform breakdown for Resident Evil Requiem shows a heavy skew toward PC, which accounted for 57% of boxed sales, followed by PS5 at 32%, Xbox at 6% and the Nintendo Switch 2 at 5%.

GfK's data therefore indicates the Switch 2 version contributed the smallest share of boxed sales for Requiem.

Retail visibility may have played a role in the title's recent momentum: retail listings observed during the chart period show copies of Requiem offered at roughly £10 below the game's recommended retail price, though there is no single large discount visible across the market that would fully account for the increase in boxed sales.

The charts were otherwise relatively calm for Nintendo platforms, with no significant new Switch or Switch 2 arrivals in the boxed top 40.

Two new releases did break into the overall Top 10, however: Game Freak's Beast of Reincarnation launched on PS5, PC and Xbox and debuted at number five, while Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls entered the charts at number six on PS5 and PC.

Other notable positions include Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced at number two and Pokémon Pokopia at number three.

Legacy and evergreen titles continue to perform strongly in physical retail: entries such as Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream and Mario Kart World remain in the upper tiers, and sports and family favorites like EA Sports FC 26 maintain a presence in the top 10 with a cross-platform install base.

GfK's weekly boxed charts offer a snapshot of UK physical market trends and platform performance; as digital storefronts including the Nintendo eShop continue to grow, these boxed rankings remain a key indicator of retail demand and platform-specific consumer behavior in the UK market.
