Konami Brings The Prince of Tennis Otome Classics to Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 in 2026

Konami has officially announced the return of two beloved otome visual novel titles from the PlayStation 2 era—The Prince of Tennis: Sweet School Festival 0-40 and The Prince of Tennis: Doki Doki Survival eternal passion!

Tie break game.

Both remastered editions will launch digitally on the Nintendo Switch and the next-generation Nintendo Switch 2, with a special physical release planned for Asia.

The worldwide release date for these anticipated titles is set for July 30, 2026.

The Prince of Tennis franchise, originating as a popular manga in 1999 and later expanding with the sequel series The Prince of Tennis II, is a household name among Japanese otome and sports game enthusiasts.

Developed by Konami, these newly remastered games breathe new life into fan-favorite storylines, which had previously captivated players on the PlayStation 2 and, in the case of Sweet School Festival, during a prior run on the Nintendo DS.

The Prince of Tennis: Sweet School Festival 0-40 and more… revisits the iconic school-life romance adventure that has held a devoted following for over two decades.

Players will experience the excitement of a joint school festival, orchestrated by leading tennis clubs from the Kanto Middle School Tennis Tournament.

As a second-year middle schooler assigned to the festival’s management committee, players navigate the thrills and challenges of helping their chosen school claim victory in the stall competition.

Featuring fan-favorite teams such as Seishun Gakuen Junior High School, Fudomine, St. Rudolph, Yamabuki, Hyotei, Rokkaku, and Rikkai, the game artfully combines drama, romance, and decision-based gameplay against the backdrop of Konami’s beautifully animated character CGs.

Notably, several illustrations have been enhanced with animation for this remaster, further immersing players in the story.

Meanwhile, The Prince of Tennis: Doki Doki Survival eternal passion!

Tie break game offers a fresh take with a survival-themed narrative.

Set on a remote, uninhabited island, players join middle school tennis stars who must work together to survive after a shipwreck disrupts their training camp.

The story unfolds as characters establish camps by the sea and in the mountains, with unique routes driven by player choices.

This edition stays true to its classic otome structure, presenting sweet and bittersweet romance events for each prince, complemented by new and animated CGs.

Both games are clearly branded under The Prince of Tennis II for the Switch release and maintain the charm and complexity that made them iconic on their original platforms.

Konami’s remastering efforts highlight over 20 years of enduring fan appreciation for the series and its impact on the visual novel and otome game landscape.

Digital versions of both titles will be available on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, while Asian markets will benefit from a limited physical edition.

Fans looking to experience a piece of otome game history or revisit these treasured narratives can look forward to reliving The Prince of Tennis magic from July 30, 2026.
