The latest compilation in Taito’s Milestones series will be available both digitally and physically for 5,720 yen, according to reporting by Gematsu.
The collection gathers ten arcade titles originally released between 1978 and 1990, spanning landmark shooters, puzzlers, and sports games.
Taito has announced that Taito Milestones 5 includes a mix of well-known classics and lesser-seen arcade entries.
The full game list, as provided by Taito, is:
- Arkanoid: Revenge of DOH
- Crime City
- Extermination
- Final Blow
- Hat Trick Hero (known overseas as Football Champ)
- Land Sea Air Squad
- Marine Date
- Plump Pop
- Sagaia (three-screen version)
- Space Invaders
In a statement accompanying the announcement, Taito presented the release as the next entry in its ongoing Milestones series for Switch, positioning the compilation as a way to bring arcade-era titles to modern hardware and collectors.
Many of the included games originally debuted in arcades from the late 1970s through 1990, reflecting the breadth of Taito’s catalogue across multiple genres.
Most of the titles in this collection have previously been reissued on Nintendo Switch through Hamster’s Arcade Archives series, which typically adds features and modes not present in original arcade releases.
Two exceptions identified in Taito’s listing are Marine Date and Extermination: Marine Date dates to 1981 and Extermination to 1987, and both have appeared on the Taito Egret II Mini platform rather than as part of Arcade Archives reissues.
Those prior Egret II Mini releases included several additional classic Taito games across curated volumes.
Taito Milestones 5 will be sold both as a physical boxed release and as a digital download on the Nintendo eShop in Japan on January 28, 2027.
International availability and pricing have not been detailed by Taito at the time of the announcement.
For collectors and fans tracking arcade re-releases on Switch, this compilation consolidates ten historically significant Taito arcade titles into a single package.
