8BitDo has opened pre-orders for its Arcade Controller Pro, a compact leverless arcade stick targeting Nintendo Switch players and PC users.
The peripheral ships November 30 and is priced at $120 USD / €107. 8BitDo, known for its retro-inspired controllers and Switch-compatible peripherals, is positioning the Arcade Controller Pro as a feature-rich option for desktop and home setups where a full-size joystick is not desired.
The Arcade Controller Pro supports wired and wireless connections and is explicitly compatible with Nintendo Switch platforms and PC.
The unit includes 17 face buttons driven by 8BitDo's low-profile linear mechanical switches, and button caps are easily swappable.
A quick-release glass faceplate grants access to the controller's internal layout for maintenance and button replacement.
For desktop comfort, the controller ships with a magnetic wrist rest that attaches to the base.
Hardware highlights verified by 8BitDo: a built-in 1.47-inch display that shows live input information, five programmable buttons for macros or turbo-fire functions, RGB lighting beneath each face button with configurable effects, and turn-key switches that let users set platform mode and lock button inputs.
The controller is available to pre-order from the official 8BitDo store and major retailers including Amazon, and an all-white color variant is offered alongside the standard finish.
In journalistic terms, early commentary on the design describes a polished, nostalgic look that echoes classic arcade controllers such as the NES Advantage, but some observers have noted that the bright blue, yellow, and green buttons and exposed turn-key switches give the top-left corner a toy-like appearance that may divide opinion among traditional fighting game hardware enthusiasts.
The Arcade Controller Pro expands 8BitDo's product lineup of Switch-compatible controllers and accessories.
It's a physical peripheral sold through standard retail channels rather than a digital eShop release.
With a November 30 ship date and retail availability already open for pre-order, developers, tournament organizers, and competitive players who prefer compact, leverless layouts now have a new, ship-ready option to evaluate alongside other boutique and mass-market arcade sticks.
