Taito Joins Forces with Evercade: Alpha Bartop Arcade and New Cartridges Announced

Taito, a renowned name in arcade gaming history, is set to broaden the Evercade ecosystem in 2025 with a brand-new hardware addition and two dedicated classic arcade cartridge collections.

The collaboration brings the Taito-themed Evercade Alpha Bartop Arcade to fans around the world, coupled with the release of Taito Arcade 1 and Taito Arcade 2 cartridges, delivering a curated selection of the company’s most beloved coin-op hits. The Evercade Alpha Taito Bartop Arcade continues Evercade’s tradition of retro-focused devices, following a similar approach to the Capcom variants released last year.

Designed to emulate the feel of classic arcade cabinets, the Alpha unit features dual control sets for multiplayer experiences, supports physical Evercade cartridges via two slots, and is packed with display and audio features such as an 8-inch high-resolution IPS screen for vibrant visuals and stereo sound for authentic arcade audio.

For added flair, owners can customize their setup with swappable light-up marquees, an homage to the iconic look of arcade games. At the core of the Evercade Alpha experience are ten pre-installed classics, each a testament to Taito's influence on arcade culture.

Gamers can instantly enjoy titles including Bubble Bobble, Cadash, Elevator Action, The Fairyland Story, Growl, The Legend of Kage, The NewZealand Story, Puzzle Bobble, Rastan, and Space Invaders.

These games showcase Taito’s diverse portfolio, ranging from platformers to action puzzlers, and offer both nostalgia and quality gameplay for new and returning fans. The Evercade Alpha Taito Bartop Arcade will be available for pre-order at £199.99 / €229.99 / $259.99, beginning May 30th, 2025.

Upon its full retail release in November, the price will be adjusted to £229.99 / €249.99 / $279.99, reflecting its high-end build and collectible appeal.

Enhancing the hardware’s versatility, two new cartridges—Taito Arcade 1 and Taito Arcade 2—are set to launch in September 2025.

Each cartridge, priced at £19.99 / €24.99 / $29.99, delivers a separate batch of arcade classics.

Taito Arcade 1 features Bubble Bobble, Chack’n Pop, Colony 7, Don Doko Don, Growl, Space Invaders, Pirate Pete, Raimais, and The Legend of Kage.

Taito Arcade 2 includes Alpine Ski, The Electric Yo-Yo, Elevator Action, Kiki KaiKai, Liquid Kids, Rastan, Operation Wolf, The NewZealand Story, and Volfied.
