Super Mario Run Introduces Exclusive Statues Event Celebrating Super Mario Galaxy Movie

Nintendo is commemorating the release of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie with a brand-new limited-time in-game event in its popular mobile platformer, Super Mario Run.

Available as a free-to-download title on both iOS and Android platforms, Super Mario Run continues to engage millions of players with special updates closely tied to major Nintendo entertainment launches.

The themed event, now live and running until May 29, 2026, gives Super Mario Run players the chance to complete a series of missions and unlock exclusive in-game statues.

These statues depict classic characters including Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Toad, Peach, Bowser, and Bowser Jr., all of whom feature prominently in the new Super Mario Galaxy Movie.

Once earned, these statues can be used to customize and decorate your Kingdom within Super Mario Run.

According to Nintendo’s official announcement, the event is structured around three different mission sets:

An Adventure in a New Galaxy Missions:

- Complete three missions to earn the Mario Statue

- Complete six missions to unlock the Luigi Statue

- Complete nine missions for the Yoshi Statue

Stars Fall Upon the Mushroom Kingdom Missions:

Father and Son Retaliate Missions:

In a translated statement from Nintendo, the company emphasized its commitment to creating interactive experiences that bridge its games and multimedia projects.

"With this event, we invite players to enjoy the Super Mario universe in new ways, celebrating the latest adventures with exclusive rewards in Super Mario Run."

To further incentivize both new and returning players, Nintendo has also discounted the full version of Super Mario Run until May 28, 2026.

During this promotional period, fans can unlock all available game modes at a reduced price via the Nintendo eShop and other mobile platforms.

This update marks the latest in a series of crossover events designed to keep Super Mario Run fresh and closely aligned with major Nintendo releases, following recent collaborations such as the Super Mario Bros.
