Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Launch Special Pikachu Events: Tera Raid and Mass Outbreaks Now Live

The Pokémon Company has unveiled a series of exciting limited-time events for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, bringing fresh gameplay opportunities and exclusive rewards to Nintendo Switch players.

As part of the ongoing "Summer Event Part 1", trainers across the globe can now participate in the return of the Mightiest Mark Pikachu Tera Raid and a new Pikachu-themed Mass Outbreak event. The Mightiest Mark Pikachu Tera Raid Event, which previously garnered attention among fans for its challenging setup, has officially returned to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

This high-level Tera Raid centers around a Water Tera-Type Pikachu sporting the coveted Mightiest Mark, offering a formidable challenge even for seasoned players.

The Pokémon Company has confirmed that this second run introduces a unique set of rewards, most notably including Herba Mystica ingredients, highly prized for their use in in-game sandwich crafting and competitive strategies. Simultaneously, a special Pikachu-themed Mass Outbreak Event is now underway, significantly increasing the spawning rates of several Pikachu line Pokémon across multiple regions.

Players can find Pichu in Paldea, Pikachu and Mimikyu in Kitakami, and both Raichu and the elusive Alolan Raichu in the Terarium.

Trainers looking for rare shiny Pokémon will be delighted to learn that this event also boosts the likelihood of encountering shiny versions of these Pokémon.

Importantly, this marks the first time Alolan Raichu has been natively obtainable within Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, expanding the Pokédex for dedicated collectors. Both the Mightiest Mark Pikachu Tera Raid and the Pikachu Mass Outbreak events are live now and will run until July 25, 2024, at 8:59 a.m.
