Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen OST Now Available on Nintendo Music App for Switch Online Subscribers

Nintendo fans and Pokémon enthusiasts have cause to celebrate, as the highly requested soundtracks for Pokémon FireRed and Pokémon LeafGreen are now available on the Nintendo Music app.

Originally released for the Game Boy Advance in 2004, these beloved remakes of the classic Pokémon Red and Blue have earned their place in the series’ legacy.

Starting today, Nintendo Switch Online subscribers can access 64 iconic tracks from these titles, expanding the already impressive Nintendo Music app selection. The update comes as part of Nintendo’s ongoing efforts to deliver classic game soundtracks to a modern audience, leveraging its Nintendo Switch Online service and companion mobile applications.

Nintendo of America shared the announcement across their official channels, highlighting the availability of all 64 tracks for both nostalgic and new listeners.

"The unforgettable music of Pokémon FireRed and Pokémon LeafGreen, which originally captivated players on the Game Boy Advance, is now streaming for Nintendo Switch Online members via the Nintendo Music app," the company stated. To enjoy the Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen original soundtracks, users must have an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription.

The Nintendo Music app is available for download on both Android and iOS platforms at no additional charge.

Once installed, subscribers can stream one hour and 21 minutes of music, covering memorable themes from key moments in the games’ adventures through the Kanto region. Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen were developed by Game Freak and published by The Pokémon Company and Nintendo.

Since their debut, the remakes have sold millions of copies worldwide and contributed to the enduring popularity of the franchise.

Their audio legacy, composed by Junichi Masuda and Go Ichinose, remains celebrated for its nostalgic melodies and modernized arrangements of classic Pokémon themes. The addition of these soundtracks comes ahead of a packed week for Pokémon fans.
