Wonder Talking Flower Plushie for Nintendo Switch Fans
Nintendo’s hit platformer, Super Mario Bros.
Wonder, has continued to charm fans worldwide since its release on the Nintendo Switch, thanks in part to its quirky characters and inventive game design.
Now, toy manufacturer San-ei Boeki, renowned for producing official Nintendo merchandise, has revealed its latest creation: a talking plushie based on the memorable Talking Flowers from Super Mario Bros.
Wonder.
The collectible is set to launch in Japan in late November 2024, adding another sought-after item to San-ei’s roster of Nintendo-themed toys.
The Talking Flowers of Flower Kingdom quickly became a fan-favorite element within Super Mario Bros.
Wonder, thanks to their playful banter and iconic interjections such as “Onwards and upwards!” and “WoOoAAhh!” Building on the popularity of these charismatic game characters, San-ei Boeki’s plush version brings them to life beyond the game.
With a light press to the flower's back, the plushie plays one of 18 different audio phrases, selectable in either English or Japanese.
This interactive feature is designed to appeal to a broad audience of Nintendo fans, collectors, and younger players alike.
The announcement came via a video shared on the official @sanei_NLG Twitter account, showcasing the plush’s vocal abilities.
According to details provided, the plushie measures approximately 13 cm in width, 10 cm in depth, and 14 cm in height.
It will be available at a retail price of 3,300 yen (approximately £18 or $23 USD at current exchange rates).
While a specific release date has yet to be confirmed, the plushie is expected to hit stores across Japan by late November 2024.
At this time, there has been no official word regarding an international release of the Talking Flower plushie.
However, previous San-ei Boeki merchandise, such as the popular Elephant Mario plush from the same game, eventually found its way to markets outside Japan.
Fans can remain hopeful for a similar rollout in the West.
