Nintendo Switch 2 Breaks Sales Records with 3.5 Million Units Sold in First Four Days

Nintendo has achieved an unprecedented milestone in video game hardware sales with its newest console, Nintendo Switch 2.

According to an official report released by the company, the Nintendo Switch 2 sold more than 3.5 million units worldwide within the first four days following its global release on June 5.

This extraordinary performance cements it as the fastest-selling Nintendo system in history, outpacing all previous hardware launches from the Kyoto-based gaming giant. The announcement was shared directly by Nintendo, highlighting both the system’s remarkable early sales and its robust feature set.

Redefining the hybrid console experience, the Nintendo Switch 2 is equipped with a larger, full 1080p high-definition display for handheld play, and the capability to deliver crisp 4K visuals when docked to a compatible TV or monitor.

It also sports a more powerful processor, which enables improved graphics and gameplay performance across supported games. One of the standout enhancements is the redesigned magnetic Joy-Con 2 controllers.

The new controllers offer innovative mouse functionality, making intricate in-game actions and navigation smoother for players.

The game supports up to 24 players simultaneously, marking the largest multiplayer capacity in series history.
