Nintendo Expands 'My Mario' Series with Yoshi-Themed Products and Hello Yoshi App for Nintendo Switch and Mobile

Nintendo has announced the latest additions to its My Mario lineup, focusing on Yoshi, Mario’s iconic dinosaur companion, with a broad array of products tailored for young children.

These new items—including picture books, interactive plush toys, building block sets, and the engaging Hello Yoshi app—underscore Nintendo’s commitment to creating accessible, educational entertainment for younger audiences.

The new lineup is set to launch first in Japan on November 18, 2025, with an international rollout following in 2026. My Mario Picture Book: “Licky-Licky Yoshi” The popular My Mario Picture Book series returns with a Yoshi-themed edition, “Licky-Licky Yoshi,” published by Shogakukan and available in Japanese bookstores starting November 20, 2025.

This interactive book allows children to manipulate flaps and movable parts, simulating Yoshi’s trademark tongue-extension as he reaches for fruit—making for a more immersive and tactile reading experience. Hello Yoshi App for Nintendo Switch and Mobile Devices Expanding Nintendo’s suite of digital experiences for children, the forthcoming Hello Yoshi app will be available for Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android platforms.

A sequel to the earlier Face Mario app, Hello Yoshi enables children to interact with Yoshi by pulling on his face or stretching his tongue to ‘eat’ virtual items.

Players can also watch differently colored Yoshis hatch from eggs and see the character respond with expressive animations.

In a nod to encouraging balanced screen time, the app features an idle state where Yoshi gently falls asleep.

Hello Yoshi will be offered as a free download from the App Store, Google Play, and the Nintendo eShop beginning November 18, 2025, in Japan. Sing & Talk! Flappy Yoshi Plush Developed by Joy Palette, the Sing & Talk! Flappy Yoshi (Utatte Oshaberi! Patayura Yoshi) is a new interactive plush that both sings and chats with children.

The plush toy can wave its arms and sway, responding to voice commands with 13 unique lines and two included songs: the beloved “Yoshi’s Story” theme and “Yoshi’s Song.” Users can switch between “Chat Mode” and “Melody Mode” with the press of a button, enhancing interactive play. Yoshi Plush, Doudou, and Rattle for Toddlers Aimed at the youngest fans, Happinet will introduce a series of soft, pastel-colored Yoshi plush toys, including a Doudou Sitting Yoshi blanket plush and a rattle, launching on November 18, 2025.

All plushes are designed to be machine-washable, making them suitable and safe for babies and toddlers. Yoshi, Peach, and Luigi Building Block Sets Rounding out the collection are the all-new Yoshi, Peach, and Luigi building block sets, each containing themed character and item blocks.

These blocks are compatible with the My Mario Building Block Special Set and double as functioning amiibo figures, further expanding play possibilities across Nintendo Switch consoles. By diversifying its My Mario lineup with innovative Yoshi-themed products and digital experiences, Nintendo continues to demonstrate its leadership in the family-friendly gaming and merchandise space.
