Nintendo and LEGO have unveiled the latest expansion of their successful partnership, announcing a fresh lineup of LEGO sets based on popular Nintendo franchises.
Set to launch in August 2025, the new wave includes detailed sets from Super Mario, Mario Kart, and Animal Crossing, further strengthening the collaboration between the Kyoto-based gaming giant and the global toy company.
Following the positive reception of previous LEGO Nintendo collections, these upcoming sets cater to both collectors and fans of Nintendo’s iconic brands.
This release continues the tradition of blending creative construction with interactive play, allowing fans to bring the worlds of Super Mario, Mario Kart, and Animal Crossing to life in brick form on platforms like the Nintendo Switch and beyond.
According to an official rundown provided by GoNintendo, here are the confirmed LEGO sets along with their piece counts:
- Super Mario: Prince Florian & Castle Bowser (1,251 pieces)
- Super Mario: Captain Toad’s Camp (159 pieces)
- Super Mario: Party at Toad’s House (276 pieces)
- Mario Kart: Wario & King Boo (512 pieces)
- Mario Kart: Bowser’s Castle (1,068 pieces)
- Mario Kart: Interactive LEGO Mario & Standard Kart (278 pieces)
- Animal Crossing: Creative Houses: Seasons of Fun (814 pieces)
- Animal Crossing: Blathers’s Museum Collection (543 pieces)
- Animal Crossing: Goldie’s Cozy House (149 pieces)
Highlights from the upcoming range include the debut of a Mario Kart set with an included Mario figure, giving fans the opportunity to recreate high-speed racing action at home.
Additionally, Captain Toad receives a dedicated set, and the Animal Crossing series expands with the arrival of even more animal villagers.
LEGO and Nintendo first joined forces in 2020 with the launch of the LEGO Super Mario theme, combining interactive features compatible with Nintendo eShop promotions and leveraging the popularity of titles released via Nintendo Direct.
Since then, multiple waves, including expansions and character packs, have helped to solidify the partnership's presence in the home entertainment and collectibles market.
In an official statement released earlier this year, LEGO representatives acknowledged the continued enthusiasm from both the Nintendo and LEGO communities.
The company also confirmed a future collaboration with Pokémon, with sets scheduled for release in 2026—marking another significant milestone for Nintendo-related products in the LEGO portfolio.
Pricing and product images for the newly announced sets are yet to be disclosed, but both brands assure fans that further details will be shared closer to launch.
With the August 2025 release date set, collectors and gamers alike can look forward to a fresh array of innovative LEGO experiences inspired by some of Nintendo's most beloved franchises.
