Marvel Cosmic Invasion, developed by Tribute Games and published by Dotemu, has expanded its playable roster with two new additions: Cyclops and The Thing.
The side-scrolling brawler, which launched in December and is available across platforms including the Nintendo Switch, initially shipped with an eclectic mix of heroes such as Iron Man, Spider-Man, Beta Ray Bill, and Nova.
Dotemu and Tribute Games are continuing post-launch support with paid character content and new modes planned for later in the year.

The pack introduces two fighters with distinct playstyles:
- The Thing: Presented as a grappling-focused powerhouse and frontline tank, The Thing brings heavy-hitting close-quarters options and enhanced mobility that lets him traverse environments and engage enemies quickly.
The studio describes him as a protective, family-oriented brawler who excels at holding the line for teammates.
- Cyclops: The X-Men leader joins the roster as a ranged specialist.
Cyclops uses his optic blasts to dispatch foes and offers diagonal beam angles to counter aerial opponents and control space, providing a tactical complement to the game's existing characters.
Dotemu’s statement on the release reiterates that the new pack is available immediately on the Nintendo Switch eShop and priced at $3.99 across platforms.

According to the publisher, the second add-on will include additional playable characters and introduce an all-new game mode designed to present fresh challenges for both heroes and villains facing the cosmic threat led by Annihilus.
