The developer and publisher announced that the DLC will arrive on November 10, 2026.
Marvel Cosmic Invasion, a beat ’em up title that launched late last year to critical attention, will receive two new playable characters and a new game mode as part of this paid expansion, according to a Dotemu press release.
The studio first teased the Castle Doom expansion in August, promising new characters and a Doom‑focused gameplay addition.
Dotemu confirmed today that the two DLC characters are Doctor Doom and Invisible Woman (Susan “Sue” Richards).
In its announcement, Dotemu described each combatant’s role and abilities; in journalistic terms, the company said Invisible Woman brings advanced light‑bending and force‑field mechanics derived from her background as an explorer and scientist, introducing new defensive and concealment options to the game's combat.
For Doctor Doom, Dotemu emphasized his combination of cutting‑edge powered armor, occult techniques, and tactical genius, positioning him as a dominant antagonist whose presence elevates the threat level beyond that of existing villains like Annihilus.
Dotemu has not yet disclosed further specifics about the new game mode, only noting that it is “centered” on Doctor Doom and that additional details will be released in the lead‑up to the November launch.
The announcement cited the studio’s intent to expand the Cosmic Invasion roster — now including two of the Fantastic Four’s core members — and to evolve the title’s content roadmap.
As the release approaches, Dotemu’s update schedule and platform availability will be closely watched.
Dotemu has a history of releasing and supporting titles across PC and console storefronts, including previous launches on the Nintendo Switch eShop, making the studio’s update cadence relevant for Switch owners and players across other platforms.
