The festival runs now through Monday 31 August 2026 and transforms the resort into five themed zones — Music, Creative, Chill Out, Thrill and Play — with the Play Zone focused on hands-on experiences tied to the LEGO Pokémon SMART Play range.
At the centre of the Play Zone, visitors can follow a structured “hands-on training journey” that simulates the experience of bonding with, nurturing and training five selectable pocket monsters before participating in brick-built battles.
The nurture area invites builders to assemble snacks for their Pokémon, affix a SMART tag at the snack table to trigger interactive reactions, and construct and display LEGO Poké Balls.
The Play Zone also features a large LEGO Pikachu model available for photos and social content.
LEGOLAND Windsor Resort vice president Neil Poulter framed the collaboration as a family-first attraction.
Poulter said the LEGO Festival is designed to promote uninhibited play, and that positioning LEGO Pokémon as the Play Zone partner helps deliver cross-generational experiences where parents and children can build and share memories together.
The LEGO Festival format described at Windsor will be staged at multiple LEGOLAND Resorts worldwide.
LEGOLAND has confirmed the Play Zone will be featured at LEGOLAND California, LEGOLAND Deutschland, LEGOLAND Florida and LEGOLAND New York, and the festival experience at participating resorts is included in regular park ticket pricing.
The inclusion of LEGO Pokémon SMART Play sets at the festival offers a hands-on showcase for the product line.
SMART Play uses tagged elements to enable interactive functions during in-park activities, allowing guests to see immediate responses from brick-built Pokémon as part of the training journey.
