Hori Arcade Classic Pro for Switch 2: Official Nintendo-Licensed Modular Arcade Stick Announced

Hori Arcade Classic Pro arrives as a modular arcade stick option for Nintendo Switch 2

Accessory specialist Hori has announced the Hori Arcade Classic Pro, an officially licensed arcade stick for Nintendo Switch 2.

The announcement highlights a highly modular design intended for a range of arcade-style titles and retro collections available on Switch 2 and the eShop.

Modular design: four directional control options

Hori’s new Classic Pro features two modular bays on the left and right of the unit.

Users can swap between four directional control modules: a standard arcade stick, a trackball, a paddle, and a loop lever.

Hori describes the loop lever as functioning like a conventional arcade stick while also allowing rotational input as an alternate control scheme.

The company presents the modules as user-replaceable to create customized control layouts for different genres.

Compatibility and positioning

Hori states the Classic Pro is compatible with fighting games, shooting games, and Hamster’s Arcade Archives series.

Hori’s marketing materials emphasize use with Hamster’s retro library, though the controller is intended to work with any supported title on Nintendo Switch 2 and downloadable releases from the eShop.

Availability and price

The Hori Arcade Classic Pro is listed on Hori’s Japan website at 39,980 yen (approximately $258 or £191).

As of the announcement, Hori has not published details about a western release or wider international availability.

Initial promotional footage included stylized presentation elements; Hori also published an in-depth product video showing the physical hardware and module swaps in real-world demonstrations.
