Following notable commercial success and positive reception across Nintendo’s platforms, Hogwarts Legacy is set to deliver an upgraded experience for both new and returning players with its arrival on Nintendo Switch 2 launching June 5, 2025. Currently, the game is also discounted to $17.99 for original Switch users, offering an additional incentive for those yet to experience its magical adventures. Physical edition owners are not left behind.

By installing the latest patch and accessing the “additional content” section after launching Hogwarts Legacy, physical buyers can also access the $10 upgrade path.

This process ensures that whether purchased digitally or on cartridge, fans can seamlessly upgrade to the new version without losing progress or content. Avalanche Software has invested significant resources to elevate Hogwarts Legacy for Nintendo Switch 2.
