Sega and developer Tecopark have confirmed Sonic Pico Park will launch for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on November 12, 2026. The announcement follows Sega's Sonic 35th anniversary celebrations at Club Chaos, where the publisher debuted a fresh trailer that expands the Pico Park series with a Sonic-themed entry.
Pico Park began as a 2D co-op action-puzzle series from Tecopark, built around tight local and online multiplayer puzzles. Sonic Pico Park adapts that formula to Sega's blue blur, adding characters and mechanics drawn from the Sonic universe. The new trailer, shown during Sega's anniversary showcase, reveals that Silver and Blaze will join a roster that already includes Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Shadow, Cream & Cheese, Big and the Sonic Pico Cat.
Sega and Tecopark position Sonic Pico Park as a party-oriented experience for two to eight players. The game will feature 48 levels, each designed with multiplayer-specific gimmicks that change through stages to promote teamwork and creative problem-solving. Tecopark described the objective as straightforward — collect all keys and reach the goal to clear each level — but emphasized that the shifting gimmicks across levels will require coordination and new cooperative strategies as players progress.
The Sonic-branded entry promises to incorporate many Sonic-themed gimmicks to complement Pico Park's established puzzle design. Existing fans of the series can expect familiar cooperative mechanics, while Sonic fans gain a new way to play with franchise characters in compact stage-based encounters.
For readers who want to explore the series before Sonic Pico Park arrives, the original Pico Park is priced at $4.99, and Pico Park 2 — which expands the first game with additional content and modes — is available for $8.99 or regional equivalent. Both titles helped establish Tecopark's reputation for accessible, high-concept local multiplayer.
Sega's trailer and further details were part of the company's Sonic 35th anniversary programming. Sonic Pico Park will appear on Nintendo's platforms at launch; expect the game to be listed on the Nintendo eShop when it goes live on November 12, 2026.
