Gravity Circuit 2 announced for Nintendo Switch in 2027 — Domesticated Ant Games sequel details

Publisher Dear Villagers and developer Domesticated Ant Games have confirmed that Gravity Circuit 2 will launch on Nintendo Switch in 2027.

The follow-up to the original action-focused 2D platformer returns players to a rebuilt Kernel City and expands the series’ combat and progression systems.

In their announcement, the publisher and developer stated that Gravity Circuit 2 is a direct sequel set years after the events of Gravity Circuit.

The new entry introduces Cable as a second playable character alongside series protagonist Kai.

Players will be able to select either character before beginning each mission, swapping to experience distinct fighting styles across the game’s 2D stages.

Where Kai retains a close-combat, melee-focused approach, Cable offers a longer-range playstyle: he uses projectiles, multiple damaging mid-air jumps and unique abilities that convert defeated enemies into scrap usable as ammunition.

To deepen combat and customization, Gravity Circuit 2 adds new Booster Chips and Burst Techniques that modify move sets and character stats.

A new upgrade mechanic will let players extract Circuit Shards from defeated bosses to unlock additional abilities.

These upgrades, together with the Booster Chips and Burst Techniques, are designed to broaden build options and tactical choice during platforming and combat encounters.

The campaign returns to Kernel City as players confront an invasion led by forces from the Hunter Army.

Levels will combine intense platforming sequences, combat arenas and hidden secrets for players to discover.

The announcement also confirmed a new soundtrack by composer Dominic Ninmark, who previously scored Gravity Circuit.

An official announcement trailer accompanied today’s reveal; the publisher indicated it will share further launch timing and distribution details closer to release.

Gravity Circuit 2 is confirmed for Nintendo Switch in 2027, and it is expected to appear on Nintendo’s digital storefront eShop when it launches.

We will monitor updates from Dear Villagers and Domesticated Ant Games and report additional information such as release windows, platform specifics and post-launch plans as they are officially announced.
