Gravity Circuit 2 is the sequel to the 2023 Mega Man–inspired action platformer Gravity Circuit, developed by Domesticated Ant Games and published by Dear Villagers.

The studio team has confirmed the sequel is targeting a Spring 2027 release window and will arrive on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, the upcoming Switch 2, and PC via Steam.

Alongside that timing the team has posted a new trailer and launched a playable Steam demo.

Game structure and playable characters

According to the Steam listing, Gravity Circuit 2 picks up shortly after the events of the first game.

The protagonist Kai returns to face a new aerial threat called the Hunter Army.

Players can also choose to play as a second Circuit named Cable, who shifts the game’s pacing from Kai’s close-quarters combat to a longer-range, projectile-focused playstyle.

The Steam description explains that players select their character from a central hub; while stage layouts are shared, each character’s approach changes how levels play out.

Progression and combat systems

Domesticated Ant Games and Dear Villagers detail an upgrade framework that expands both characters’ capabilities.

Players earn Circuit Shards and Booster Chips throughout stages to upgrade abilities, and can equip Burst Techniques that enable powerful finishers.

The developers describe these systems as intended to provide meaningful customization of each Circuit’s loadout and combat role.

Steam demo details

The demo currently available on Steam offers roughly 20–30 minutes of gameplay and includes two stages: Kernel City and Artificial Lake.

It allows players to try both Kai and Cable and experience how the same stage design adapts to different combat styles.

Why it matters

For fans of the original Gravity Circuit, the sequel promises familiar high-speed platforming with added variety through dual protagonists and expanded upgrade options.

The cross-platform release plan — including support for both current and next-gen Nintendo hardware plus PS5 and PC — positions Gravity Circuit 2 as a notable indie launch to watch in Spring 2027.

Players interested in testing the sequel can download the Steam demo now and follow further updates from Domesticated Ant Games and Dear Villagers.
