During their journey, the game's protagonists encounter two mermaids following a mysterious incident, leading to a turning point in the storyline.

The mermaids reveal that Hargon’s minions are menacing the ocean’s inhabitants, and players must rise to the challenge of saving the mermaids and restoring calm to the depths.

The adventures in the Seabed also introduce a formidable antagonist, Mariella, who stands out as one of Hargon’s Champions set on dominating the underwater realm.
