Brandish Renewal Launches on Nintendo Switch with Enhanced Features via EGGCONSOLE

Nihon Falcom’s storied legacy in the JRPG genre continues with the release of Brandish Renewal on Nintendo Switch, now available through the EGGCONSOLE series.

Originally debuting in 1991 on the NEC PC-9801 and FM Towns, Brandish established itself as a cult classic among RPG enthusiasts.

Over the decades, it received ports on platforms like the SNES and PSP—which made their way to North America—and the PC Engine CD, appreciated by a worldwide playerbase for its challenging labyrinthine gameplay.

The updated Brandish Renewal is a refreshed take on the seminal title and first arrived in Japan in October 1995.

This new EGGCONSOLE release offers both nostalgia and innovation, aiming to deliver an improved experience for veterans and newcomers alike.

Notably, the Switch version supports USB mouse controls, though this feature is currently exclusive to the Japanese version.

Brandish Renewal, published by Nihon Falcom, is available for digital download on Thursday, August 14, 2025, via the Nintendo eShop as part of the ever-expanding EGGCONSOLE series.
