The JTNINJA core, which had previously been released for the MiSTer FPGA platform, is now part of Jotego’s growing digital library bringing historical arcade games to new audiences. "We're thrilled to offer the JTNINJA core for Analogue Pocket," Jotego shared in a recent update.

"Making iconic titles like Bad Dudes vs Dragon Ninja and Heavy Barrel accessible on modern, portable hardware has always been an important goal.

Our focus remains on delivering accurate, reliable emulation that stays true to the original arcade experience." In addition to the new Data East core release, Jotego outlined progress on several upcoming projects.

Work continues on the Namco System 1 core, anticipated to support renowned arcade games like Splatterhouse and PacMania.

According to Jotego, the release of the Namco System 1 core is targetting a Halloween debut, aligning with the haunting themes of classic games such as Splatterhouse.

This update stands to further cement the Analogue Pocket and MiSTer platforms as premier destinations for FPGA-based arcade preservation. Jotego also confirmed that he and his team have successfully completed schematic extraction for Konami's arcade adaptation of the French comic hero Asterix.

This technical milestone brings the project closer to release, enabling future support for yet another sought-after coin-op title. Finally, fans of Capcom’s arcade legacy can celebrate the official public release of Jotego's core for Black Tiger.
