AYANEO has released AYASpace 2, an updated Android-based launcher designed to present users' game libraries as a museum-style collection.
The reveal came during a recent live stream spotlighting KONKR's Pocket hardware range; the AYASpace 2 segment appears at roughly the 45:00 mark of the archived stream.
The new launcher focuses on visual curation and per-title configuration, and is currently available for KONKR Pocket Advance, KONKR Pocket Micro, and KONKR Pocket Block via the AYANEO Pocket Museum download page.
What AYASpace 2 offers
AYASpace 2 recognises installed ROMs by reading game data and automatically organizes titles into themed "Halls." These Halls are defined by filters such as genre, era, developer, and platform, and are accompanied by museum-style presentation elements including box art, cartridge designs, display podiums and cases.
Users can use the built-in library of generic cover images or import custom media packs to populate fully detailed models for individual titles.
In the stream and accompanying materials, AYANEO described the launcher as a "Pocket Museum," positioning it as a way to curate and display a personal collection in a visually rich environment rather than a simple list or grid view.
Emulation and configuration features
From an emulation feature set perspective, AYASpace 2 includes standard modern conveniences: Save State support, Rewind and Fast-Forward functionality, and a range of screen filters.
The launcher also adds "per-game" configuration options, allowing users to adjust settings on a per-title basis rather than applying changes globally across the entire library.
AYANEO states AYASpace 2 supports cross-platform profile and save transfers between devices running the launcher, enabling continuity for users who own multiple handhelds.
Availability and how to get it
At launch, AYASpace 2 is limited to KONKR Pocket Advance, KONKR Pocket Micro and KONKR Pocket Block hardware.
The software and a basic media pack are available for download from the AYANEO Pocket Museum site.
The live stream that introduced AYASpace 2 is archived online, with the AYASpace 2 reveal located around the 45:00 mark for viewers who want to see the features demonstrated.
This release underscores continued interest in feature-rich, visually driven launchers for Android-based handhelds, offering an alternative library management approach to platforms such as Nintendo Switch and traditional storefronts like the eShop, while focusing on customization and per-game control for handheld enthusiasts.
