Konami Officially Shutters Amazing Bomberman on Apple Arcade, Ending Playability on May 29
Konami has announced that its Apple Arcade exclusive title, Amazing Bomberman, will soon be discontinued and become completely unplayable by the end of this month.
According to a statement issued via the official Bomberman social media account, the game will cease service and operations on Apple Arcade as of May 15, 2024, with full shutdown and playability ending on May 29, 2024.
Amazing Bomberman, launched in August 2022, took the classic Bomberman formula in a fresh artistic direction with a "lo-fi" inspired visual style and a strong focus on music integration.
Developed and published by Konami, the game was positioned as a quick and accessible Bomberman experience, ideal for mobile play on Apple devices.
Players engaged in traditional maze-based battles, reminiscent of the franchise's long-standing competitive gameplay, but with an added emphasis on musical variety and a new art style.
At this time, Konami has confirmed there are no alternative platforms or plans to make Amazing Bomberman available elsewhere, outside of its current home on Apple Arcade.
This means that after May 29, there will be no official way to access or play the game.
For fans and players, this is the final opportunity to experience this exclusive entry in the Bomberman series before it is removed from digital shelves and play becomes impossible.

Notably, Super Bomberman R Online, another spin-off in the enduring franchise, also had its service terminated by Konami in December 2022.
That particular title, initially released for Google Stadia before making its way to other platforms, was discontinued due to "various circumstances." In both cases, Konami stopped short of disclosing full details about the rationale behind the decisions, though it previously indicated interest in new projects after the conclusion of Super Bomberman R Online.
No future plans have directly accompanied the termination announcement for Amazing Bomberman.
