Build-A-Bear Workshop Continues Pokémon Expansion With Wooper Plush Release
Build-A-Bear Workshop has once again delighted fans of Pokémon merchandise by adding the beloved Water and Ground-type Pokémon, Wooper, to its ever-growing plush collection.
This exciting announcement comes as Build-A-Bear continues to bolster its reputation as the go-to retailer for officially licensed Pokémon plushes, bringing joy to collectors and fans on platforms like the Nintendo Switch and beyond.
The retailer has a well-documented history of collaborating with Nintendo and The Pokémon Company to create high-quality, fan-favorite collectible plushes.
In recent months, popular Pokémon like Yamper, Riolu, and Cubone have been added to the lineup, each accompanied by themed accessories and exclusive features.
Now, Wooper—known for its axolotl-like appearance and friendly demeanor—is stepping into the plush spotlight.
"Our Pokémon collection keeps expanding to include fan favorites, and we’re thrilled to bring Wooper to our stores and online shoppers," said a Build-A-Bear Workshop spokesperson in an official statement.
The rollout reflects the brand’s commitment to celebrating the wide universe of Pokémon with unique, limited-run merchandise.
The newly released Wooper plush is currently available as part of an exclusive online bundle through the Build-A-Bear website.
For $62.50, fans will receive:
- Pokémon Wooper Plush
- Pokémon Wooper Tube and Goggle Set
- Pokémon Wooper 5-in-1 Sound Module
This bundle offers a comprehensive experience for collectors, as the plush, themed accessories, and built-in sound module capture Wooper’s character with signature quality.
There is a purchase limit of five bundles per guest, aimed at ensuring that as many fans as possible can partake in the release.
Notably, the Wooper plush and accessories are not available separately at this time.
While the online bundle became available as of this week, Build-A-Bear Workshop has confirmed that in-store availability will follow in the coming days.
Fans eager to add Wooper to their Nintendo, Pokémon, or plush collections are encouraged to act quickly—as previous launches have demonstrated, these limited-edition bundles tend to sell out fast.
Thanks to its strong partnerships with Nintendo and The Pokémon Company, Build-A-Bear Workshop has become a staple for Pokémon lovers seeking rare, high-quality merchandise outside of the core games and the Nintendo eShop.
With Wooper joining the roster, the official Build-A-Bear Pokémon plush line further cements its appeal to fans, collectors, and the broader gaming community.
