Atari and Digital Eclipse have announced two Toy Story game releases for Nintendo platforms: Toy Story: Retro Roundup and Toy Story 3 Complete Edition.
Both titles are scheduled to launch on October 15, 2026, for Nintendo Switch and the newer Nintendo Switch 2.
The releases will be available physically for $40 and digitally for $25, with the Switch 2 cartridge containing all content; boxed packages will include both games.
Toy Story 3 Complete Edition revisits the 2010 title originally developed by Avalanche Software, the studio later known for Disney Infinity and Hogwarts Legacy.
This modern remaster brings the film-inspired adventure to contemporary platforms for the first time, incorporating content that was previously exclusive to the PlayStation 3 version.
The update focuses on visual and performance improvements, with support for higher resolutions and up to 60 frames per second on supported systems.
The remaster preserves core elements that made the original notable.
Story Mode takes players from Andy's Room to Sunnyside Daycare as Woody, Buzz Lightyear and Jessie progress through the film's narrative.
The title retains dynamic character swapping and a local co-op option, while the Toy Box Mode returns as an expansive, open-world sandbox that lets players customize environments, complete non-linear missions, and unlock toys, vehicles and crossover characters.
Toy Story: Retro Roundup is a definitive compilation of classic Toy Story-era games.
The collection includes Toy Story (1995), Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue (1999), Buzz Lightyear of Star Command (2000), Toy Story Racer (2001), and a bonus port of A Bug's Life (1998).
These titles originally appeared across PlayStation, SNES, Game Boy and other platforms and have been difficult to access on modern hardware.
Retro Roundup adds modern conveniences such as rollback and save-anytime functionality, practice modes, localized how-to-play guides, customizable cheat options, and an option to toggle between enhanced visuals and original PlayStation-era presentation.
The collection also features archival materials: six new behind-the-scenes video featurettes, interviews with industry contributors, and a music player offering uncompressed, CD-quality versions of game soundtracks.
Digital Eclipse creative lead Mike Mika said the studio is pleased to reintroduce Toy Story 3, highlighting the game's creativity, humor and heart and calling the re-release a rewarding rediscovery.
Atari's VP of Games Ethan Stearns emphasized that Retro Roundup and the Toy Story 3 remaster aim to preserve beloved games for longtime fans while making them accessible to a new generation, supported by curated bonus content and archival insights.
Both titles will be available on the Nintendo eShop and at retail on the announced release date.
A first trailer was published alongside the announcement, providing an early look at the presentation and restored content.
