Shift Up has published a new gameplay trailer for Stellar Blade Complete Edition, confirming a Nintendo Switch 2 port and a worldwide retail and digital launch on the Nintendo eShop in 2026, the developer announced.

Stellar Blade originally launched for PlayStation 5 in May 2024; the Complete Edition brings the action title from Shift Up to a new handheld-home hybrid platform, according to the company's statement.

Stellar Blade is set in a post-apocalyptic Earth where remaining humans have fled to a colony in space.

Players control EVE, who returns to reclaim the planet from the hostile Naytiba creatures and uncover the ruined civilisation's hidden past.

Shift Up has positioned the Complete Edition as a fuller package of the game's fast-paced combat, visual design, and narrative themes.

In the new announcement trailer and accompanying notes, Shift Up said the Switch 2 port will include support for Joy-Con 2 motion controls for non-combat activities.

In journalistic terms, the developer explained that motion-control functionality is intended to provide an added layer of immersion for moments away from combat.

Shift Up also outlined the Complete Edition's core features:

- Razor-sharp action combat: The developer highlights fast, combo-driven melee combat with unlockable moves, weapon upgrades and challenging boss encounters that demand both tactical thinking and precise execution.

- Visual presentation: The game is promoted as a highly detailed post-apocalyptic world that balances beauty and horror through environmental design and character visuals.

- Deep narrative and progression: Shift Up describes a mature, emotionally charged storyline supported by character progression, customisable skills, gear and combat builds.

Shift Up was founded by artist-director Kim Hyung-tae and achieved wider attention with Stellar Blade's 2024 PS5 release.

The company's announcement names retail and digital availability on the Nintendo eShop for the Complete Edition in 2026; those release details come directly from Shift Up's public communication.

This update follows the game's original PlayStation 5 launch and represents Shift Up's first confirmed move to the platform referenced as Nintendo Switch 2.

For players tracking platform updates and upcoming eShop releases, the Complete Edition will be listed on Nintendo's digital storefront when regional release dates and pre-order information are published by the developer and Nintendo.
