CRT Games has officially released the long-awaited remake, Snow Bros.

2: Special, now available for download on both the Nintendo Switch and Steam platforms as of April 10, 2025.

This modern adaptation of the classic 1994 arcade game arrives with enhanced features, incorporating feedback from previous entries and capitalizing on the latest hardware capabilities. Originally developed by the Korean studio CRT Games, Snow Bros.

2: Special revives the beloved title with a choice between modernized visuals or authentic 1994 graphics, catering to series fans and newcomers alike.

The game includes a variety of gameplay modes, both returning and new: players can tackle Original Mode, Survival Mode, Time Attack Mode, and the inventive Sky Run.

One of the remake’s key highlights is the expanded multiplayer functionality—offering both local and online multiplayer action for up to four players, further driving the series’ emphasis on cooperative play. Additionally, Snow Bros.

2: Special introduces quality-of-life enhancements, stage adjustments, and the inclusion of the Monster Challenge mode as part of the base package—no longer limited to paid downloadable content.
