Super Evil Megacorp and Nighthawk Interactive have announced a physical Nintendo Switch 2 release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate billed as the "Legendary Edition." The boxed version is scheduled to arrive on 27 October 2026, with pre-orders now available across multiple retailers at a suggested price of $49.99 (or regional equivalent). The release targets collectors and Switch 2 owners seeking a physical copy with bundled premium content.
The Legendary Edition package includes several headline features. It bundles the Casey Jones & the Junkyard Jam expansion, which adds a new Junkyard level, additional boss encounters, and a supplementary narrative that makes Casey Jones a playable character. The physical release also ships with Metalhead and Alopex as playable characters: Metalhead is noted as Splintered Fate's first fully ranged fighter, while Alopex is presented as the mutant arctic fox and former ninja assassin who became an ally of the Turtles. A digital art book containing concept art and final designs for characters and locations is included, and the boxed edition delivers every free content update released to date, explicitly listing the fan-popular Arcade Mode among those updates.
The publisher has indicated that a further playable DLC character — described in promotional copy as a fan-favorite — will be revealed in the near future. Super Evil Megacorp has also confirmed the team is planning additional content for the coming summer, describing those plans as major updates for the title.
Earlier this year, Super Evil Megacorp reported that Splintered Fate had exceeded a combined total of one million sales worldwide, a milestone the developer cites when discussing the game's ongoing support and physical release strategy. Nighthawk Interactive is handling the physical distribution for the Switch 2 Legendary Edition, a notable partnership for the indie-focused publisher as it expands the game's availability beyond digital storefronts.
With the October 27, 2026 street date and pre-orders already live, Switch 2 players and collectors can reserve the Legendary Edition now. Retailers and official storefronts will carry the physical release; check regional listings for availability and shipping windows.
