My Arcade Gamestation Retro Go and Pro: Release Date, Features, and Classic Games Lineup Revealed With the gaming industry’s continual interest in nostalgia, My Arcade, a leader in retro gaming hardware, has reaffirmed its commitment to the classic game enthusiast community at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES).

The company has officially announced a release window for the Gamestation Retro Go—a handheld gaming system initially introduced last year—and its complementary consoles, reinforcing its status as a reliable curator of authentic arcade experiences. First announced during CES last year, the Gamestation Retro Go was originally slated for a 2025 debut.

However, My Arcade has now confirmed the launch is scheduled for this year following a brief delay, a move reflecting the company’s focus on delivering a polished and accessible device.

This new release builds upon My Arcade’s established portfolio, including the recently previewed Atari Gamestation Go handheld. Platform Details and Game Library The Gamestation Retro Go stands out in the market for its robust combination of classic titles and modern hardware features.

Designed in a format reminiscent of the Nintendo Switch, this portable gaming system boasts an 8-inch high-resolution display, an internal rechargeable battery, and a refined button layout that has seen additional ergonomic tweaks since its initial unveiling.

The system will come pre-installed with more than 100 celebrated arcade and console games, courtesy of partnerships with legendary developers Capcom and Bandai Namco. Fans can relive the golden age of gaming by playing iconic franchises such as Pac-Man, Galaga, Pole Position, Dig Dug, Street Fighter II, Mega Man, Final Fight, and 1942.

Notably, this collaboration marks a rare occasion where games from both Capcom and Bandai Namco are available on the same device, streamlining access to a diverse library that would otherwise require multiple systems.

In a statement, My Arcade described the Gamestation Retro range as an “officially licensed collection that brings together iconic games from Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc.

and Capcom, delivering a unique retro gaming experience to modern audiences.” Expanding the Gamestation Retro Line The Gamestation Retro Go is only one part of My Arcade’s comprehensive approach to retro gaming.

The line also features the Gamestation Retro Pro—a premium home console with 1080p high-definition video output and wireless controllers, ensuring a seamless transition from handheld to home entertainment.

Additionally, the Gamestation Retro Mega offers a classic arcade cabinet experience, featuring authentic wood construction, a 10.1-inch vibrant display, a mechanical joystick, and responsive action buttons for immersive play. All three products—the Retro Go, Retro Pro, and Retro Mega—are scheduled for Q3 2025 release, according to the company’s official press material.

"With this exciting new lineup, My Arcade continues its mission of introducing retro gaming to a new generation, integrating over 100 video games from these iconic brands into a unified platform," My Arcade affirmed. My Arcade’s continued collaborations with Capcom and Bandai Namco, and its focus on platform versatility, have solidified the company’s position as an industry leader in the ever-evolving landscape of nostalgia-driven hardware.

As anticipation grows for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, initiatives like the Gamestation Retro collection offer established and emerging gamers alike another chance to experience the classics on new, accessible platforms.
