Onimusha: Way of the Sword Sales Surge — Capcom Q2 FY2026 Report

Capcom's Q2 FY2026 financial report confirms a strong sales quarter for the publisher, led by the newly released Onimusha: Way of the Sword.

The company reported that Onimusha shifted 1.78 million copies within two months of release, underscoring Capcom's continued commercial momentum across both legacy franchises and newer IP.

In the report, Capcom detailed platform and lifetime sales for several headline titles.

Resident Evil Requiem added 450,000 units in the quarter, bringing its lifetime sales to 8.51 million.

Pragmata contributed 229,000 units this period, lifting its cumulative total to 2.73 million.

Capcom also noted that Resident Evil 4 was the second best-selling title of the quarter, while Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 7 maintained steady sales performance.

Capcom confirmed that Onimusha: Way of the Sword, Resident Evil Requiem, and Pragmata launched on Switch 2 the same day they released on other consoles.

The company highlighted that simultaneous, platform-wide launches — including on Nintendo's Switch 2 — supported the titles' market reach and availability.

The financial document also emphasized the continued shift toward digital distribution.

Capcom reported that 94.2% of game purchases during the quarter were digital, with 57.1% of total sales coming from PC platforms.

That digital share remains a dominant part of Capcom's revenue mix and aligns with broader industry trends toward digital storefronts such as the Nintendo eShop and PC marketplaces.

Taken together, the figures in Capcom's Q2 FY2026 report illustrate a strong commercial period for the publisher: a high-performing new entry in the Onimusha series, steady contributions from Resident Evil catalog entries, and continued digital domination across platforms including Switch 2 and PC.

For observers tracking platform performance and third-party support, Capcom's results provide a measurable example of major releases performing well across console and PC launch windows.
