Final Fight Trilogy SNES Vinyl Soundtrack Launches with Exclusive Luis Melo Artwork

Capcom’s iconic Final Fight trilogy for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) is receiving its first-ever official vinyl soundtrack release, courtesy of Mana Wave Media.

The announcement comes as a major event for both retro gaming fans and vinyl collectors, marking the soundscape of one of Capcom’s most beloved beat ‘em up series with a new level of nostalgia and preservation. Set to ship in a collector’s brick-textured outer box, the Final Fight trilogy vinyl collection includes three LPs and is adorned with striking new artwork from illustrator Luis Melo.

This premium package celebrates not only the music itself, composed for the SNES adaptations, but also the enduring visual legacy of the Final Fight series. Originally debuting in arcades in 1989, Final Fight was quickly adapted for the SNES in 1990.

However, technical limitations of the hardware meant that the home port omitted several features from the arcade version, such as the absence of playable character Guy, the removal of an entire stage, and the lack of a two-player mode.

These limitations were addressed in the subsequent SNES-exclusive sequels—Final Fight 2 and Final Fight 3 (released as Final Fight Tough in Japan)—both of which reinstated two-player co-op play and expanded the roster of selectable fighters. The newly released vinyl set offers fans the chance to experience the music of all three SNES titles in remastered form.

In addition, it includes six specially arranged tracks from Final Fight Guy, a unique SNES edition where Guy replaces Cody as a playable character.

The collection retails for $66.99 and is available for pre-order directly from Mana Wave Media’s online storefront. A spokesperson for Mana Wave Media highlighted the uniqueness of this release, noting that the three LPs feature fresh artwork by Luis Melo and are housed in a custom outer box with a brick motif that pays homage to the urban setting of Metro City.

This thoughtful presentation underscores the deep connection between the game’s visual identity and its music. The Final Fight series, developed by Capcom and closely associated with Nintendo’s 16-bit era, remains a cornerstone of the beat ‘em up genre.

This vinyl edition not only preserves the celebrated SNES soundtracks but also caters to a growing community of game music enthusiasts and collectors who seek high-quality, artist-driven releases. For fans of Capcom, SNES music, and collectible gaming memorabilia, the Final Fight trilogy soundtrack on vinyl represents an unmissable addition to any library.

The collection is expected to ship later this year, expanding the legacy of both the games and their legendary soundtracks on Nintendo’s storied console.
