SNK has officially released Kizuna Encounter: Super Tag Battle as the latest installment in its newly launched Neo Geo Premium Selection series, now available on Steam.

Originally debuting in arcades in 1996, this cult-favorite fighter follows the innovative footsteps of its predecessor, Savage Reign, by introducing a dynamic tag feature—enabling players to strategically switch between two characters during intense 2-on-2 battles. As with all Neo Geo Premium Selection titles, this updated edition of Kizuna Encounter is developed by Code Mystics, a studio recognized for bringing classic fighting games to modern platforms with cutting-edge improvements.

The re-release boasts significant enhancements to the online experience.

Players can now benefit from rollback netcode for smoother, lag-minimized gameplay—a major addition for competitive fighting game fans.
