Bandai Namco Revives a Classic: Tales of Xillia Remastered Launches on Nintendo Switch October 31 In a significant announcement for fans of classic JRPGs, Bandai Namco has confirmed that Tales of Xillia Remastered is heading to the Nintendo Switch.

Tales of Xillia Remastered continues the publisher’s recent trend of reviving acclaimed entries in the renowned Tales series for modern hardware and audiences. The remastered edition for Nintendo Switch and other platforms will introduce a suite of quality-of-life improvements and visual enhancements designed to appeal to both newcomers and long-time fans.

According to Bandai Namco, these updates will modernize the experience while staying true to the spirit of the original game. Players can expect early access to the Grade Shop, a signature feature of the Tales series.

This addition allows gamers to customize elements such as item drop rates and experience yield from battles, catering to a variety of play styles.

Furthermore, all downloadable content (DLC) previously released for the original version — including an array of costumes and extra content — will be included from the start.

This ensures that both of the game’s lead characters, Jude and Milla, can embark on their journey with a wealth of optional enhancements and cosmetic choices. A spokesperson from Bandai Namco emphasized that, much like the recent Tales of Graces f Remastered, Tales of Xillia Remastered is designed to deliver the definitive version for contemporary audiences.

The remaster aims to retain the elements that made the original a fan favorite while leveraging the advanced capabilities of Nintendo Switch and other platforms to offer smoother visuals and streamlined gameplay. With this release, the Tales franchise continues to expand its presence on the Nintendo Switch, joining other acclaimed entries and bringing one of its PS3 classics to a wider audience.
