The new icons highlight popular characters like Mario and Wario, each available for 10 Platinum Points via the Switch Online 'Missions and Rewards' program.

These exclusive icons will be accessible until January 6th, 2024, giving fans a limited window to redeem their points and add some nostalgia to their profiles. Originally released in 1992 for the Game Boy, Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins quickly became one of the handheld's most beloved platformers.

The Switch Online service now hosts the game as part of its base tier subscription, inviting both longtime fans and new players to experience Mario’s quest to reclaim his castle from Wario.
