Nintendo Switch Online Adds Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2 User Profile Icons Ahead of Game Launch

Nintendo continues to expand its user engagement offerings on the Nintendo Switch platform with the announcement of brand-new Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2 profile icons, exclusively for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers.

This latest update aligns with the much-anticipated release of Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2, which is scheduled to launch on the Nintendo Switch on October 2, 2025. The new Super Mario Galaxy-themed user icons will be introduced in a series of waves, beginning with the first set launching on September 24, 2025.

Users can mix and match characters, backgrounds, and borders, which can be obtained through the redemption of Platinum Points.

These points are awarded for free by completing designated My Nintendo missions, both on Nintendo Switch and through the official My Nintendo website.

To access the latest icons, subscribers should navigate to the Nintendo Switch Online section, available directly from the bottom left menu of the Switch home screen. Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 are renowned titles in Nintendo’s storied platforming franchise, originally debuting on the Nintendo Wii to critical acclaim and impressive sales milestones.
