Nintendo Music Adds Super Mario Bros. 1–3 Free Roam Tracks to Mario Kart World on iOS and Android

Nintendo has quietly expanded its mobile listening options: the Nintendo Music app has received a content update that adds the Super Mario Bros. 1, 2 and 3 Free Roam Tracks to the Mario Kart World soundtrack on iOS and Android devices.

The change brings classic Super Mario tunes into a curated Mario Kart playlist available through the official Nintendo Music service.

Launched by Nintendo as a dedicated music streaming experience for fans, Nintendo Music is available as a free download on the App Store and Google Play.

While the app itself is free to install, Nintendo requires an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription to access the full streaming catalog.

Nintendo confirmed the app remains a free download but that an active Nintendo Switch Online membership is necessary to use the service’s streaming features.

This update continues Nintendo’s effort to surface both recent and legacy game soundtracks in the mobile app.

Nintendo Music already offers a range of curated playlists and world soundtracks, and today’s addition specifically places vocal and instrumentally arranged Free Roam Tracks from the original Super Mario Bros. trilogy into the Mario Kart World grouping, making them accessible to subscribers on iOS and Android.

For players and fans tracking where Nintendo places its music assets, the app represents a new channel alongside Nintendo’s long-standing platforms: the Nintendo Switch console, the Nintendo eShop for digital game purchases, and periodic showcases such as Nintendo Direct.

The mobile app complements those services by offering a portable way to listen to officially licensed game music.

If you want to access the newly added tracks, download Nintendo Music from the App Store or Google Play and sign in with the Nintendo Account tied to an active Nintendo Switch Online membership.

The update was first reported via a community tip credited to Jason F.

This addition is part of Nintendo’s ongoing updates to the service, which aim to expand the catalog of classic and modern Nintendo soundtracks available on mobile devices for subscribers.
