Following its recent launch, Nintendo released a maintenance update for Splatoon Raiders that aims to address multiple gameplay issues and stability concerns.

The first-party Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive received Version 1.1.1 on August 6, 2026, according to patch notes posted to Nintendo’s official support page.

The 1.1.1 patch focuses on a range of fixes intended to smooth core systems and remove a number of edge-case bugs.

Key changes listed in the official notes include:

- Tank limiter: Players can now release a tank’s limiter without holding down the A Button, streamlining control input.

- HUD visibility: Fixed a problem where the feature to hide HUD elements—such as the Showstopper Gauge—after inactivity in the Hideout Ship or dungeons did not function correctly.

- Damage application: Corrected an issue that prevented the Emergency Damage Up effect from applying to explosion damage added by the Splatchet’s Explosive Steps.

- Movement bug: Resolved a case in which players could temporarily lose the ability to move after using a Splatchet immediately following a Squid Roll from a wall.

- Level-specific fixes: Addressed a bug on Soyu Cliffs where a Fish Stick could become stuck in the terrain and be undefeated, and fixed an issue in the HOPPING arcade cabinet mode where the Exploration Bot could stop hitting Salmonids.

- Stability: Fixed a crash that could occur if the Nintendo Switch 2 touchscreen was tapped on the fog swirl screen after launching the game.

Nintendo’s notes also state that “several other adjustments have been made to improve the gameplay experience,” indicating smaller under-the-hood tweaks beyond the listed fixes.

Industry coverage has responded positively to Splatoon Raiders’ single-player design and multiplayer options.

Nintendo Life described the release as the strongest single-player entry in the Splatoon franchise while also noting its robust multiplayer features suitable for groups of family and friends.

Splatoon as a series began on Wii U in 2015, with subsequent mainline entries arriving on Nintendo Switch in later years.

The franchise is developed by Nintendo’s internal teams, including Nintendo EPD.

For players on Nintendo Switch 2, the 1.1.1 update is available via Nintendo’s official support and update channels.
