Nintendo has confirmed a focused Direct presentation for Splatoon Raiders, the newest spinoff in the Splatoon franchise, scheduled for June 30.

The company says the livestream will run for 15 minutes and concentrate exclusively on Splatoon Raiders, offering a targeted update for fans ahead of the game's imminent launch on Nintendo Switch 2.

Nintendo also announced that the Direct will be immediately followed by a Nintendo Treehouse: Live session, which will feature roughly 30 minutes of hands-on Splatoon Raiders gameplay and additional commentary from Nintendo's Treehouse team.

In a statement accompanying the broadcast announcement, Nintendo indicated the short presentation will "focus solely on series spinoff Splatoon Raiders," and said viewers should "stay tuned for Nintendo Treehouse: Live for additional Splatoon Raiders gameplay, lasting approximately 30 minutes." Nintendo of America shared the schedule and viewing details via its official social channels.

Release date and accompanying hardware

Splatoon Raiders is confirmed to launch exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2 on July 23.

Nintendo has coordinated hardware tie-ins for the release: Blue and Light Yellow Joy-Con 2 controllers, inspired by Splatoon characters Shiver and Frye, will be available the same day as the game.

Third-party accessory maker Keys Factory has also announced new Splatoon Raiders-themed Switch 2 accessories, including cases and Joy-Con 2 covers.

How to watch

Both the 15-minute Direct and the subsequent Nintendo Treehouse: Live gameplay session will stream on Nintendo's official YouTube channel.

The Direct's compact format indicates Nintendo intends to deliver concise, focused information for Splatoon Raiders rather than a broader Nintendo Direct slate.

Context and expectations

Splatoon Raiders represents Nintendo's ongoing expansion of the Splatoon franchise on its next-generation hardware.

With a tight promotional window between the Direct and the July 23 launch, Nintendo is positioning the Direct and Treehouse stream as the primary live opportunities for players to preview the game and see Splatoon Raiders in action before release.
